Van Pooja on International Forest Day

Kiran Bajaj, President of Paryavaran Mitra led a Pooja of trees in Vrindavan and vowed to work towards saving our forests on International Forest day. She requested the new generation to learn from Nature and look after her forests and plant more trees. This will lead to curbing global warming and reduce environmental pollution.

The holy land of Vrindavan is being stripped of its trees and in its place we have concrete jungles. We need the thinkers of this beautiful city to come together and save the forests. There is no Vrinda ( cluster of flowers) nor Van (forest) in Vrindavan anymore!

On this day, ten mini forests in Hind Parisar were worshipped with reverence by various communities. During this occasion, women and children were told about the importance of trees in our lives.
